You need JavaScript enabled to view it ABE MARSHAL REGION . 1. June 6th has been set as the date of our GED graduation.Be sure to put it on your calendar! We have been getting a good response from the graduates, so I hope you are able to attend and join in the celebration. Please let me know if you will be attending. 2. June 11th - Staff Training at Jackpot. A special email has been sent to staff along with agenda and registration information. Please RSVP by June 4th if you plan to attend. 3. Summer Institute - Most of you should have received information in the mail regarding Summer Institute (August 18-20) to be held at the St. Cloud Civic Center. We encourage everyone to attend all or part of the conference. If you have not received the information please let Barb know. Registration - This year we are asking that you register yourself and following attendance at Summer Institute request reimbursement for the registration fee. You will note in the brochure that registrations can only be done online at www.mn-mcea.org All of you are Literacy MN members. Please let us know as you register so we have some idea of who will be attending.Lodging - It will be up to the individual to make lodging arrangements. We suggest that you stay at the Kelly Inn at the $71/night rate. If you do stay at another hotel, we will pay up to $71/night. Also, we do encourage you to try to make arrangements with other staff members to share a room.Travel - Again, you are encouraged to make arrangements with other staff members to ride-share to the event. __________________________________________________________________ LITERACY ACTION NETWORK Subject: Literacy Action Network Award Nominations Due JUNE 25th Nominate someone you admire for a Literacy Action Network Award TODAY . Each year Literacy Action Network (formerly Literacy Minnesota) takes great pride in the opportunity to honor outstanding ABE individuals and programs from across the state.There are six award categories for staff, learners, and programs working and succeeding in Adult Basic Education: ABE Teacher, ABE Learner, ABE Leader, ABE Advocate, ABE Partner, and the Possibilities and Potential Award. The Awards Banquet will be a special Thursday evening feature at the MCEA/Literacy Action Network Summer Institute.Award information and entry forms are available on the Literacy Action Network website: http://www.literacyminnesota.org/12th_Annual_ABE_Awards.html Submission deadline is June 25th but early entries are encouraged, so do it now! (Please print the forms for those members who may not have easy internet access.)
