FORMS ON THE WEB
Here are
instructions how to use computerized forms on the Marshall ABE website.
Print this page and follow the step by step directions to complete your form.
GET TO THE
WEBSITE
- Go to the
website www.marshalladulteducation.org
- Click on the
Workforce link (on the left hand side).
- Scroll to the
very bottom of the page to the Computerized Forms section
- Click on the
link that says
Click here to view and use the new computerized forms

The
available forms are on the right side.
DOWNLOAD THE
FORM YOU WANT TO USE
-
Right-click
on the form you want to use. If you left click on it, you will open
the form in the Internet Explorer and will not be able to work with
it very well.

Click on Save Target
As
-
Choose a location where
you want to save the form. I always save on the Desktop.

Click the Save button
-
Click Open when it is
finished downloading
WORKING WITH
THE FORM
-
The form opens with the
first cell highlighted in black. Fill out the form
-
You can move from cell
to cell by pressing the TAB key or by pressing the arrow
keys.
-
You can go backward
through the cells by holding down the SHIFT key and pressing the
TAB key
-
You can also use the
mouse to click to the cell you want.
-
You do not have to use
the Shift key when typing in the fields it will automatically capitalize
for you.
ADVANCED
THINGS
You can add
the last column automatically. Follow these steps.

Click the mouse
in the cell in the lower right hand corner (next to Total).
-
Click on the View
menu, point to Toolbars, and click on Forms. Note: The
shortcut to do this is to right-click anywhere near the top of
the screen in the Toolbars area then select Forms.

The Forms toolbar
will pop on the screen somewhere at the top.

You will notice a little
padlock icon. This form is locked. To be able to add the
column you need to unlock the padlock. so click on it once.

Click on the Table
menu at the top.

Click on Formula
-
The formula should say,
=SUM(ABOVE)
-
Click OK the
column will be automatically totaled.

NOTE: You cannot have
any blank cells in between the numbers or the total will be wrong,
(You can have blank spaces but they cant be in between the numbers.
SEND THE FORM
AS AN ATTACHMENT
You must use Outlook Express (or Outlook) to use this option.
If you use another email client (POP3), like Eudora, try it it just may
work. If you use web mail, like Hotmail or Yahoo, youll have to
send the form as an attachment in the usual way you do it.

After you complete the
form, click on the File menu
-
Point to Send To
and click on Mail Recipient (as Attachment)

Wait
-
In a few seconds,
Outlook Express (or Outlook) will open with the form attached. Type in the
email address, add a note to the body if you want, and click
on Send
